Nearly 500 plaintiff’s lawsuits were recently filed in state court in Hennepin County, Minnesota against Medtronic, Inc.; Medtronic PLC; Covidien LP; Covidien Holding Inc.; Covidien Sales LLC; and Sofradim Production, SAS. Cases are pending before Judge James A. Moore. Covidien’s parent company, Medtronic, is a Minnesota Corporation with its principal place of business in Minnesota.

Update as of September 2023:

Since developing a discovery plan with defense counsel, the defendants have produced a large volume of discoverable documents pertaining to the Covidien hernia mesh and plaintiffs have individually completed Plaintiff Profile Forms. The first Covidien witness deposition is scheduled to begin in November.
